Phase 1: Maquette Creation & Preparation

  • Finalize 25" maquette of Deer Woman

  • Create molds of the maquette

  • Produce wax replica

  • Clean and prep wax for foundry

  • Bronze casting process (gating, slurry, pour, chasing, sandblasting)

  • Patina applied, photographs taken

Phase 2: Four Foot Sculpture Enlargement (Fundraising Sculpture)

  • Maquette scanned for enlargement

  • Computerized foam sculpting

  • Clay coating and robotic refinement

  • Hand refinement of clay

  • Molds created

  • Wax replica produced

  • Gating and slurry mold process

  • Bronze poured

  • Bronze chasing

  • Sandblasting

  • Patina

  • Public display in Uptown Sedona to raise funds for 10-foot monument

Phase 3: 10-Foot Monument

  • Scan for 10’ enlargement

  • Computerized foam carving

  • Clay coating & robotic sculpting

  • Final hand sculpting

  • Molds created

  • Wax replica produced

  • Second mold: gating & slurry

  • Bronze casting

  • Bronze chasing, sandblasting

  • Patina

  • Engineering for installment

  • Platform built
